The National Safety Council - New England Chapter is a 501-C3 non-profit organization with the mission of saving lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy. Our members include businesses and organizations throughout New England.

​​The National Safety Council - New England Chapter strives to provide the highest quality, most up-to-date safety and health trainings, safety materials and other resources to support and strengthen safety programs in businesses, industries and local communities.

​Our History: Chartered with the state of NH in December of 1970 the Safety & Health Council of New Hampshire merged with the Maine Safety Council in 2004 to form the Safety & Health Council of Northern New England (SHCNNE). In 2005, SHCNNE became a Chapter of the National Safety Council and began serving the state of Vermont as well. In October 2014, our name changed  to the National Safety Council of Northern New England. In May of 2023, our name changed again to the National Safety Council - New England Chapter.
